#PicturePerfect: Model and activist Rawdah’s trip to New York features her favourite tacos and a visit to Brooklyn Brigde.
Rawdah Mohamed’s curiousity brings her into exploring the different parts of each new city she visits. The Somali-Norwegian model and activist has a passion for travelling, and making friends along the way, allowing her to feel at home wherever her career takes her.
Bringing a Polaroid camera throughout her adventures in New York, Rawdah captures the kindness across the city, combined with stops to try out New York’s finest tacos and the tourist staple, Brooklyn Bridge, during her recent trip out in the Big Apple.
10:00am
Picture with neighbourhood friends outside the deli. Nothing better than having local friends to have a chat with, and show you the hidden spots in the area that only a local could know. It’s easy to be overwhelmed by New York when you are new to the country, I therefore appreciate all the kindness I receive.

This is Eman Mabrouk. My internet friend who became my sister and family in NY. It’s hard being away from my own family, so I appreciate our sisterhood greatly.
2:00pm
My first ever taco in NY. Beyond anything i imagined it would be like. Hence why two pictures of the taco. Huge importance to my NY life.
3:00pm
Local deli where i find everything I need. My neighbourhood is very good at raising awareness for the support of local businesses so i am constantly reminded of that. They are very helpful in providing me with quick snacks.
5:30pm
Brooklyn bridge because I had to see it. It was a bridge full of people. Very unnecessary trip but at least when people back home ask i can say I have seen it. Also the last tourist attraction I will visit.
