EXCLUSIVE: Johannes Warnke’s new collection is here and it’s giving earth, wind and fire.

Johannes Warnke’s ephemeral take on colour has skyrocketed him to become one of the biggest emerging talents on the fashion scene, conducting flow and sculpture in a beautiful aesthetic of grandeur proportions. For his newest collection, WINDFARBE, Warnke experiments with the different qualities of the wind – a flow, a movement of different proportions, shapes and stories.

Writing out his thoughts and feelings about his journey as a designer so far, Johannes Warnke reveals the true feelings of his new collection in a lookbook and letter, shot exclusively for Perfect Magazine:

“Since graduating, Katie Grand and the Perfect Team have been great supporters, inviting me to contribute to the Perfect Mentor project and the Perfect Day during Paris Fashion Week, where I presented the new collection WINDFARBE. I was very fortunate for Katie to mentor and style and for Sølve Sundsbø to photograph the collection for Perfect Magazine. It was surreal to collaborate with the visionaries Sølve and Katie, whose work I have admired from books and magazines since my teenage days. I cannot wait for the captivating story to be released in the next Perfect issue!

Meanwhile, I am so excited to share this separate lookbook capturing the collection's essence of wind and colour. WINDFARBE is inspired by the kinetic garden sculptures of my countryside upbringing. Wind energy drives colours and shapes to blur into illusion patterns creating an energetic yet calming ambience. These visuals are translated through two-tone organza panelling, kinetic accessories, sustainable construction techniques and hand-dyed cruelty-free silk - pushing for the physical experience as the ultimate luxury in our growingly virtual world. We envisioned this lookbook to be shot in daylight, using the natural elements of sunlight and wind to capture the dynamic motion of the dresses and pinwheel headpieces. Georgia and Kitan moving in alignment with the sun, flowing fabric, casting shadows, Wind and Farbe - was a moment.”
